New Orleans Times- Picayune Photo & Announcements Deadlines

Engagement photographs and announcements must be received by the Living Department of the New Orleans Times-Picayune no later than five weeks before the day of the wedding; wedding photos and stories, no later than 10 calendar days after the wedding.

A printed or typed announcement (please use all full names, no initials or nicknames) should be brought to the Living office on the third floor of the Times-Picayune Building, 3800 Howard Ave., New Orleans, or to your local Times-Picayune Bureau. Forms are available on request by calling 826-3440, but their use is not required.

Office hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. No announcements will be accepted on weekends or holidays.

Engagement announcements must be signed by both the Bride- elect and the prospective Bridegroom. Or they may be signed by a parent of the Bride or Bridegroom. For further verification of the information, they also require each signer's daytime telephone number.

Photos should be 5x7 black and white glossies. They may be of one person alone (either Bride or Bridegroom) or the couple together. It should be a clear, close-up shot of the face (s). In a photo of the couple, both faces should be close together. No photographs can be returned.

The Times-Picayune will publish only one announcement, either engagement OR wedding, with or without a picture.
